KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- With the Mizzou-KU game now being offered as pay-per-view, several local bars wanted to get in on the showdown too and bring the game to fans.

Right across the street from Sprint Center, the Power and Light District will have the game streaming live on their courtyard big screen. There will not be a cover, fans are encouraged to come in and enjoy the excitement.

Johnny’s Tavern in Power and Light will also be streaming the game.

In Westport, fans can swing by the Ale House. Staff says come early to get your seats.

"We're a huge KU fan bar so I think to get some of the MU rivals in here is going to make it a little bit competitive,” said Ryan Haynes, bartender and social media manager for Ale House.

Tickets to the game sold out in 16 minutes on Tuesday, so many fans are scoping out the best spot to catch the game.

“They were sold out! We have a friend going to the game though,” said Jenna Jimenez, a lifelong Mizzou fan.

Jimenez says the rivalry game brings back memories of when both teams were in the Big 12 Conference.

"I grew up watching the MU KU all the games, football, basketball and we always kicked butt at football but basketball it was always a close call,” said Jimenez.

In the Country Club Plaza, The Granfalloon will be streaming the game in their upstairs loft.

Money raised through pay-per-view sales will go to hurricane relief charities.

Ale House is taking it one step further, trying to raise more money for the charities.

"We're going to have a collections box behind the bar here so if anyone wants to make any donations we are more than happy to pass that forward,” said Haynes.

Bar staff hopes the rivalry will get fans to shell out for a good cause.

"What would be awesome to see is some sort of KU versus MU donation party where everyone is competing as far as who can raise the most cash for this benefit,” said Haynes.

If you don’t want to go out, you can catch the game at home. Streaming costs $40 and can be ordered at ShowdownForRelief.com.
