“The Mamba, Patriot, Prowler and Timber Wolf are definitely the four big thrill rides here at the park,” said Eric Burke, manager of public relations and communication at Worlds of Fun. “At the same time though we have something the lesser-coaster enthusiasts can enjoy.”

If you have little ones with you for a fun-filled day at the park, they can spend some time with the world’s most popular beagle, Snoopy!

Planet Snoopy offers more than 20 Peanuts-themed attractions with a chance to meet the whole gang.

“We have five new family rides in Planet Snoopy with upwards of two-dozen rides for the entire family. There’s a little something for everybody,” said Burke.

Bring an appetite, foodie fans!

Don’t forget to prepare your taste buds for delicious food and treats throughout the park. Worlds of Fun’s new menu offers Sante Fe street tacos, red velvet funnel cakes and everything in between.

“The street tacos were so successful at Oceans of Fun, we had to bring them over to Worlds of Fun. Everyone seems to love them,” said Burke.

Game on!

There are also numerous games throughout the park that can keep the good times rolling.

“Worlds of Fun has a lot of different games that provide a variety of different prizes,” said Abbie Shadid, operations supervisor of the games department. “I really enjoy watching people win prizes. Getting to be a part of the reason they're having a great day is always a fun experience for me. I just really like the environment.”

Kansas City’s one and only amusement park!

So what keeps people coming back each and every year to KC’s only amusement park? According to Burke, it has everything to do with the atmosphere.

“We try to keep things fresh with new rides, foods and attractions, but overall it’s the atmosphere that brings people back,” said Burke. “You can come here with the family to have a safe and great time.”

Burke believes the best thing about working at Worlds of Fun is the interaction he gets to have with patrons and park employees.

“I get a chance to meet with the characters, like Snoopy, Linus and Lucy, on a daily basis. It’s a perfect way to start my day,” said Burke. “After I see kids get excited when they’re on rides, win a prize, meet the characters or bite into some great food, it’s all worth it. For me coming to Worlds of Fun, it’s been amazing getting to watch people smile everyday.”
