Car sharing in Kansas City just got a lot easier with Zipcar now expanding its services to KC's downtown.

Zipcars for rent are already available at UMKC and KCI Airport, with eight cars being added to four different locations.

How does it work?

You rent a car and then bring it back later with a pay rate around $8.50 an hour.

The locations are expected to be around the KC Streetcar route downtown.

According to the Zipcar website, the new locations include Union Station, 14th and Baltimore, 1900 block of Main, and 3rd and Delaware.

Mayor Sly James and Zipcar officials will provide more information at a press conference on Monday, October 24 at 3:30 p.m. at Union Station.
