MONROEVILLE, Pennsylvania - A Pennsylvania restaurant says parents are welcome – but leave your children at home.
The restaurant is mostly known for its golf driving range - but for nine years, McDain's Restaurant in Monroeville has also been known for serving dinner.
Starting next weekend, however, that service will end for children under the age of six.
Owner Mike Vuick said little kids are just too noisy.
"Nothing wrong with babies, but the fact is you can't control their volume. And there may be restaurants that prefer to cater to such things, not here. I think it's the height of being impolite and selfish and so, therefore, I instituted a policy," he said.
Long-time customer Stephanie Kelley has been going to McDain's for dinner once a week since her son was born a year ago. Now, her child will be banned.
"It was an ignorant decision," she said.
The restaurant owner said he's confident most of his patrons will support the new rule.
