BALTIMORE (AP) - The FBI is investigating a suspicious death on the Enchantment of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship based out of Baltimore.
The ship returned to Baltimore Monday morning after a man found his 62-year-old wife dead in their cabin on Sunday.
The Enchantment of the Seas seven-night cruise included port calls to Port Canaveral, Florida; Nassau and CocoCay Bahamas.
The FBI responded to the ship when it arrived back in Baltimore on Monday, March 25. They said there are "suspicious undertones," surrounding the death.
Royal Caribbean says in a statement that it contacted the FBI and local police as part of standard procedures, and FBI agents boarded the ship when it arrived in Baltimore.
The woman's name and hometown were not released, although Royal Caribbean says she was American.
The cause of death is under investigation.
