Politician has kids in trouble with the law after bar fight

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Police arrested Susan Montee's three adult children following a fight outside a downtown St. Joseph bar.

Montee, a Democrat, is running for Missouri lieutenant governor.

Officers were called to a bar at Fifth and Felix because of a fight involving around 30 people.

When they arrived, police say they witnessed fighting and yelling in the street.

Police say they arrested Amanda Montee when she refused to obey an order for everyone to leave the scene.

At that point, police say Andrew and Austin Montee interfered with their sister's arrest.

The three were released on bond.

Montee is a former state auditor and recently stepped down from her post as chair of the Missouri Democratic Party to concentrate on her campaign.
