OLATHE, Kan. - Johnson County officials revealed the completion Wednesday of an $8.4 million renovation to an old Dillon's grocery store in Olathe that will serve the Johnson County sheriff's department and the Tenth Judicial District of Kansas.
The county bought the five-acre property at 588 East Santa Fe Street for $2 million in 2011, and the renovation was completed in May.
The refurbished building will house the tenth judicial districts' offices of court trustee and court services, as well as administration personnel and the civil division within the sheriff's office.
The project will help clear up space in the nine-floor Johnson County courthouse for renovations on the first and fourth floors.
