KANSAS CITY, Kan. - After a tree fell from her neighbor's yard, just barely missing her house but destroying her backyard, Maxine Crowder of Kansas City, Kan., found it difficult to find any way to remove it—until today.
On Friday, a kind-hearted man who saw our story earlier this week on 41 Action News decided to help out by removing the tree from her yard.
Ray Morriss works for a tree service company and helped remove it for free.
"I saw your story the other night about this big part of this tree that had fallen in her back yard so that's why I contacted you guys to come out here and remove it," Morriss said.
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County had slapped multiple violations on her neighbor's door, but still nothing had been done.
"You know, with her being older and on a fixed income, I know how difficult it can be. So, I wanted to help out as much as I could," he said.
