Death investigation underway in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Police are conducting a death investigation in a Kansas City, Kan., neighborhood.

Police say they received a domestic disturbance call just before 1 p.m. Sunday to the 700 block of North 70th Terrace.

According to neighbors, a man and a woman were arguing. They told 41 Action News reporter Lisa Benson that the woman ran across the parking lot to a friend’s apartment, and up the stairs. The man followed behind.

As the man ran up the stairs, a man that had been inside the apartment pushed him, and the man fell to the ground, and hit his head.

The man died at an area hospital.

Police say the questioned the woman, but she was not arrested.

A cousin says the situation ruined her Easter holiday, “We were supposed to be celebrating life, and not death,” Michelle Henderson said.

Police are calling it a death investigation. No other details have been released at this time.
