KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A Shawnee, Kan., man has been charged in the shooting outside Kansas City, Kan., City Hall that left one man dead.
District Attorney Jerome A. Gorman has charged 23-year-old Jeffrey W. Platt, Jr., of Shawnee, with premeditated murder in the first degree, for shooting and killing Marlon Williams back in January.
Williams was headed to court to settle a few traffic tickets, according to previous reports by 41 Action News.
Platt is currently in custody of the Wyandotte County jail and is expected to appear in court next Tuesday.
The investigation is still ongoing.
