KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Four busloads of young people left Kansas City, Kan., for Washington on Wednesday to participate in anti-abortion demonstrations.
The group will be participating in the National Prayer Vigil for Life and the March for Life. The group says they are traveling to Washington to protest the Supreme Court ruling in the Roe vs. Wade case, hoping to abolish abortion laws.
"There's going to be a lot of us out there," said Blake Nearmyer. "We'll come in numbers. We're the youth. We have the power ... our nation was built on that, and we believe that they shouldn't be able to stop us."
The trip is organized every year by the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kan., Youth Office.
