OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – A man died as a result of his injuries after a crash at the intersection of College Boulevard and Westgate Street in Overland Park.

It happened just before noon Friday.

Overland Park police said a silver Ford Focus was traveling southbound through a green light when it was T-boned on the driver’s side by a westbound SUV. The SUV had a red light.

Police said the driver of the Ford Focus was an elderly man, and he died at the hospital.

They are interviewing the woman who was a passenger in his vehicle, who they believe was the man’s wife.

She was also taken to the hospital, but with minor injuries.

Police are also interviewing the driver of the SUV, who they said is not seriously hurt.
