Man charged in Overland Park gas station clerk's stabbing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE 4:10 PM 7/19/2018: A man is facing charges after he allegedly stabbed a clerk at an Overland Park gas station.

Cole M. Glaeser, 18, is charged with aggravated battery.

The clerk was in critical condition after the stabbing Wednesday morning.

Police told 41 Action News the incident happened around 6 a.m. at the 7-Eleven near 107th and Metcalf.

A department spokesman said the clerk was found in the store suffering from stab wounds.

The suspect is in custody. He was on foot about three blocks away when he was caught.

Police said they are interviewing the suspect but do not know what their motive was for the alleged stabbing. They also said this is an isolated incident.

Glaeser is being held on a $100,000 bond.
