Standoff in Overland Park over; man arrested

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A standoff in Overland Park is over after an armed man, barricaded inside, surrendered to police.

It started inside a home at 142nd Terrance and Flint around midnight.

Family members originally called police concerned about the welfare of the man, who is in his 20's.

There was reportedly some type of disturbance.

Officers said they were communicating with the man throughout the night, and he peacefully surrendered around 9:30 a.m. No shots were fired, and no one was injured.
