Police: Body found in Indian Creek; search suspended for missing OP man

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Police have suspended the search for a missing Overland Park, Kan., man after a body was found in Indian Creek on Monday afternoon.

Authorities said they're still working on identifying the body and would not confirm whether it's missing Overland Park man Jeffrey Bridge.

The body was found around 2:30 p.m., near the intersection of W. 109 th and El Monte Street..

Bridge disappeared the evening of May 6 after going to look at the Indian Creek flooding off Conser Street.

Authorities searched the area from west of Antioch all the way east to the state line several times from both in the water and on either side of the banks.

Family members said Bridge recently moved back to Kansas City from out of state. They said he loved to watch storms and that's why he went to look at the flooding.
