Man killed working on Bobcat at Blue Springs business

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - A man was killed in an accident at a Blue Springs business Thursday night.

It happened around 11 p.m. at 2850 40 Highway in Blue Springs.

Several businesses lease space at the location.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department says  24-year-old Michael B. Fisher of Blue Springs was replacing a window on a Bobcat when another man inside the machine reached out to help Fisher, but hit the controls on the machine causing him to be pinned between the bucket and the machine.


He then fell to the ground, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fisher was working to ready the machine for use as a snow plow.
