BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - Police are investigating after a 22-year-old was seriously injured in a shooting on Monday in Blue Springs.
The Blue Springs Police Department say they responded to shots fired call around 3 p.m. at a duplex in the 1100 block of N. First St.
The victim's roommate said he heard the shots, but did not see a suspect.
The victim, believed to have been shot three times, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Mandel L. Perkins was charged in connection with the shooting on Wednesday.
