Dept. of Defense releases name of Missouri soldier killed by IED in Afghanistan

HAFT ASIAB, Afghanistan - The U.S. Department of Defense released the names of army casualties killed by an IED in Afghanistan on Friday August 23.

Among the victims was Humphreys, Mo., 20-year-old Pvt. Jonathon Michael Dean Hostetter.

According to the Department of Defense, the victims died in Haft Asiab, Afghanistan where they suffered wounds after an enemy attack.

The second victim was a 23-year-old man from Santa Maria, Calif.

Both soldiers were part of the same battalion from New Mexico.
