Two men sought after man killed in Independence

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Police are looking for two men after they found a man shot in the head in Independence.

The victim has been identified by Independence police officials as 33-year-old Erik Schwartz, of Raytown, Mo. He died late Wednesday morning, according to police.

Shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to the 400 block of N. Grand where they discovered the victim in the street.

Two suspects ran on foot southbound on Grand toward Truman Road.

One is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a stocky build and short dark hair.

There is no description on the second suspect.
