LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - Lee's Summit is still working to clear roads after the latest round of snow.
The city got nearly a foot last week and about two inches on Sunday. Since the snow started falling, crews have been working around the clock, but they're still getting complaints from residents.
"When you get heavy amounts of snow and very cold temperatures, it's very difficult to get to bare pavement," Lee's Summit Public Works Deputy Director Bob Hartett said. "That doesn't mean that the streets aren't passable, we would always urge drivers to use caution as necessary."
The city has gone through about 75 percent of its salt supply this winter, but expects to have enough to last until Spring.
