Standoff in Lee's Summit ends; police search for man who violated restraining order

LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - 9:53 a.m. UPDATE:

Authorities entered the home at 9 a.m. and did not find the man they were looking for. They found a busted window and think he may have left the house that way.

They say the standoff started after police were called to the home on a domestic dispute. The man had reportedly violated his restraining order against the woman at the house.

Police are actively searching him.

The scene was cleared by 9:45 a.m.

Police were called to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of NE Westwind Tuesday morning, That then turned into a standoff.

Officers say the female got out of the home, but a man is inside and refusing to come out.

Negotiators are talking to the man. They do not know if he is armed.

No injuries have been reported. Neighbors have been asked to stay inside.
