Cabela’s Incorporated announced it is bringing a new retail store to Lee’s Summit, Missouri, according to a news release from Cabela’s.
Cabela’s expects to employ approximately 150 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees at the store, most of whom would come from the surrounding area.
The news release says when it opens, it will be Cabela’s second location in the Kansas City area, joining the Kansas City, Kansas store that opened in 2002.
Where will the store be located?
The news release says the store will be located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Interstate 470 near JC Penny, Macy’s, Lowe’s and Super Target.
When will it open?
The news release says the 70,000-square-foot location is expected to begin construction this year. The company anticipates either a fall 2017 or spring 2018 opening.
The news release says the store will include an archery and firearm tech room, indoor archery range and Bargain Cave along with thousands of outdoor products.
