On Friday morning, Lee's Summit Sgt. Chris Depue confirmed the victim was 49-year-old Brian D. Allen of Windsor, Mo.

The call came in to police around 1:45 p.m. Thursday at a residential construction site.
The two-man crew was working to connect a sewer line from a house to the city's sewer line. A neighbor who was outside when the trench collapsed said emergency crews arrived within minutes.
Police said the trench is about 75 feet long and up to 15 feet deep.
