Friends and family of Chad Rogers said his body was found on Friday.
He was reportedly found in a portable toilet in a construction area near South Valley Junior High in Liberty. The area where he was found was not near the location authorities and volunteers were searching this week.
Police said a body was found in a portable toilet, but did not identify the body as Chad Rogers. Police said they were not ruling out the possibility that it was Rogers, but said the Jackson County medical examiner would make the identification.
The family made a statement at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Shoal Creek Community Church.
Greg Rogers said his family is heartbroken at the loss of Chad. He said the family knows Chad is with God.
"At one time I asked for the eyes of God, I'm glad we got them, so we could bring him home," Greg said.
A memorial fund has been set up to benefit Chad's wife Sarah and his 13-month-old son Matthew.
The trust fund is set up as the Chad Rogers Memorial Fund c/o US Bank, 1909 W Kansas St. Liberty Mo., 64068
The "Bring Chad Rogers Home" Facebook page has been renamed to "Chad Rogers is Home."
