KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two people were killed and one critically injured in a car accident that occurred Saturday morning.
A black Dodge Charger was driving the wrong direction in the south-bound lanes of I-29 when it struck a blue Chevy Malibu traveling southbound.
The Charger caught fire on impact. The male driver, who was the sole occupant of the Charger, died at the scene.
The male driver of the Malibu also died on the scene. The female passenger in the Malibu was ejected during the crash and was found lying on the highway.
According to fire officials and EMS, the woman was transported to an North Kansas City Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Police say no information is available on victims or circumstances at this time.
