The Pleasant Hill Water Department has issued a water boil advisory.
In addition to Pleasant Hill water customers, the advisory also includes Cass County Water District One.
It will be in effect until noon on Friday, Sept. 30.
The advisory was issued as a precaution after a low-water pressure event. Workers made an emergency repair on Wednesday, which required the water to be shut off.
Samples will be taken on Thursday to check its quality and safety.
The Pleasant Hill Water Department advised anyone living in the area affected to boil water vigorously for three minutes before drinking, brushing teeth, cooking or preparing food. Ice made with unboiled tap water should not be used. The water department says the water is safe for bathing.
