RAYTOWN, Mo. - A standoff in Raytown that began just after 4 p.m. Tuesday is now over and police have a suspect in custody.
Police were called to a residence in the 5900 block of Harris Avenue regarding a disturbance between a man and a woman.
Between the time the police recieved the call and when they arrived on scene, the male suspect allegedly went into a front yard and threatened a mailman with a knife. Raytown police arrived as the man was running back inside the house.
The woman inside the house came out without incident; the male suspect came out just after 5 p.m., also without incident. He was then taken into custody.
Police said the mailman was injured.
