SparkLabKC aims to help internet startups grow and succeed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Early-stage internet startup companies are getting an opportunity to get their ideas off the ground faster, with a better chance at success.

A new business accelerator called SparkLabKC will select 10 startups from the region to a 90-day accelerator program that provides mentors, money and other resources to grow the businesses.

"The big thing is a lot of people may have the talent or the idea but they are missing a bunch of the nuts and bolts things that really need to be added to the mix to make it successful," President Evan Conway said.

The startups will get workspace in a 2,200 sq. foot space near West Pershing Road and Main.

SparkLabKC will accept applications between Feb. 1 and March 31.
