St. Elizabeth School could get Google Fiber for free

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Waldo school may get the new Google Fiber for free.

Monday night, the Google Fiber truck made a stop at the St. Elizabeth School.

We're told it's in the top five "Fiberhoods".

This means schools, churches and community centers in the area, could get the new network for free.

The St. Elizabeth principal says she's staying hopeful that her students will get this new technology.

"It's going to allow us to access important uses of technology; our iPads, our interactive white boards, our computer lab. Right now we're really limited with bandwidth," said principal Pat Kollassch.

Kollassch says the Google Fiber will also help St. Elizabeth save money.
