Early in-person voting ends Monday in Kansas

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - Two deadlines are fast approaching for Kansans to vote in advance.

Anyone planning to vote in person without having to go the polls Tuesday must do so by noon Monday. And voters who are mailing their advance-voting ballots must get them to their county election office before polls close on Tuesday.

Secretary of State Kris Kobach has predicted that 68 percent of Kansas voters will participate in the election.

Kobach cites the absence of any statewide races on the ballot for what would be the state's lowest turnout in a presidential election year since 2000.
