TOPEKA, Kan. - The Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services has launched a new campaign to protect adults who may be vulnerable to abuse or neglect.
Adult abuse could be physical or financial, or simply neglect from caretakers.
The campaign will distribute Adult Protective Services bookmarks and brochures statewide.
"As a country, you know the Baby Boomers are coming of age, and…on the national level, there is a lot more awareness on this issue, said Jim Kallinger, who is working on the campaign.
If you suspect an adult you know is getting abused, call the Protection Report Center at 800-922-5330.
