TOPEKA, Kan. - Three Kansas children have been found safe.
Stephanie Witten, Seth Witten and Michelle Witten were last seen around 9 p.m. Wednesday night in the 1100 block of SW Orleans in Topeka, according to police. Police announced they were found around 7:45 p.m., and were with police.
Police said initially there was no indication of foul play. There are no details on how authorities found the kids.Police in Topeka say three young siblings missing since late Wednesday have apparently been found safe along a trail in a park.
Capt. Jerry Stanley tells The Topeka Capital-Journal two girls and a boy matching the missing children's descriptions were spotted around 7:15 p.m. Thursday playing in a creek along the Shunga Trail.
That's just a few miles from the home where their parents reported them missing shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Stanley says the children were being taken to the law enforcement center to confirm their identities.
The missing children were identified as 13-year-old Stephanie Witten, 12-year-old Seth Witten and 10-year-old Michelle Witten.
Police had said throughout the search they did not suspect foul play in the children's disappearance. No Amber Alerts were issued.
