WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - A 41-year-old woman who set herself on fire in a Wichita parking lot is hospitalized in critical condition.
Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte says the woman doused herself with lighter fluid Sunday and then used a cigarette lighter to ignite it. A passerby saw the woman and pushed her into a snowbank, extinguishing the flames.
The Wichita Eagle reports the woman was taken to the burn unit at a Wichita hospital, where she remained in critical condition Monday.
Her identity has not been released.
