Accident inspires Mo. woman to make prosthetic leg from Legos

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - A Missouri woman who lost her leg in an accident has used the experience as motivation to help others. It also led her to make a prosthetic leg from Legos.

Christina Stephens, an occupational therapist, was working on the brakes of her car when the car slipped off a jack in January.

The weight of the car ended up on her right foot. Since surgeries weren't a sure thing, she chose amputation.

After that happened, she started making videos with tips for amputees. Then, someone suggested that she make a prosthetic leg out of Legos.

The video "My Legoleg" has more than one million views on YouTube.

Stephens posts a new video every Wednesday under the name "AmputeeOT."
