SUGAR CREEK, Mo. - Missouri Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a report of a second body found Saturday near where a fisherman drowned earlier in the day.
Troopers spent most of Saturday searching a portion of the Missouri River just off of Missouri Highway 291 for a missing fisherman, who family members have identified as Josh Reek.
Searchers were able to locate Reek's body shortly after 5 p.m., but a tip call from a third party prompted searchers to return to the water just before 6 p.m. off of La Benite Park.
Troopers don't believe there is any connection between the two bodies.
