Missouri Representatives don't want Rush Limbaugh added to Hall of Famous Missourians

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Democratic Representatives in Missouri are speaking out about plans to add Rush Limbaugh to the Hall of Famous Missourians.

Tuesday, Democrat Minority Leader Mike Talboy sent a letter to Speaker Steven Tilley explaining why they believe Limbaugh does not deserve to be honored.

Talboy writes, "Fame alone has never been considered sufficient to earn someone a place in the Hall of Famous Missourians. If it were, Frank and Jesse James – two of the most famous Missourians of all time – would have been inducted long ago."

Talboy goes on to describe Limbaugh as notorious, saying he is not famous for making "positive contributions in [his] given field".

The letter is signed by 48 of the 56 democratic representatives in the Missouri House. You can read whole letter online at http://tinyurl.com/LimbaughStatue.

Speaker Tilley spoke with 41 Action News Tuesday, saying while he appreciates the representatives sharing their opinion, it does not change his plans to add Limbaugh to the Hall of Famous Missourians.
