KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City is hosting a large exhibition this fall that features French Impressionists.
The exhibit, Impressionist France: Visions of Nation from Le Gray to Monet, is scheduled for the Nelson from Oct. 19 through Feb. 9, 2014. The show will also be at the Saint Louis Art Museum from March 16 through July 6, 2014.
The museum said in a release Thursday that the exhibit features more than 100 works of mid-19th century French painting and photography and includes key pieces by well-known Impressionists Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro. It's also the first major exhibition to feature new acquisitions by the Nelson-Atkins in 19th-century French photography.
