Police receive tip of missing Warsaw, Mo., woman outside QuikTrip

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The search continues for Warsaw, Mo., woman Hellen Cook who has been missing since Saturday.

But a tip police received on Wednesday gave her family some hope. The tipster told authorities they had seen Cook outside of a QuikTrip on 72nd and Wornall in Kansas City, Mo.

After going to police headquarters and looking at the video surveillance obtained from the QuikTrip, Cook's family said the woman on the tape was not their mother.

However, the surveillance video shows only the inside of the store with the tip said she was seen outside the store between the QuikTrip and the Burger King next door.

Police and her family are not sure if it was a bad tip or a false alarm, but Darolyn Fagg, Cook's youngest daughter says she wants her mother home safely.

"We miss our mother, she is the rock of our family and we want her back," Fagg said, "I think about her at night, where is she sleeping. I think about dehydration. Is she getting any water is she eating where is she?"

In the meantime, the family has printed more fliers for their missing mother. A prayer and candle light vigil for Cook will be held on Friday night at the First Assembly of God church in Blue Springs, Mo.
