The plane plummeted into a field in the town of Willard, Mo., around midnight Saturday as it tried to land at a nearby airport.

The impact caused the plane to disintegrate into a small field of debris, rendering the fuselage unrecognizable.

The Royals held a moment of silence Sunday afternoon and placed the photos of the victims on the large screen in center field.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
