KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Another college football game is coming to Arrowhead Stadium this Fall, and it involves the Tigers.
The Grambling State Tigers and the Lincoln University Blue Tigers will face off in the 2013 Missouri Classic football game.
It's set for Saturday, Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m., a day before the Chiefs take on the Cowboys.
Grambling State is one of the most successful black universities in Division 1 athletics.
They've sent more than 100 players to the NFL, including head coach Doug Williams, who led the Redskins to Super Bowl XXII.
"To be able to play at Arrowhead Stadium adds a little more to being a part of the football team," Williams said.
The head coach at Lincoln University, Mike Jones, played for 12 years in the NFL. He helped lead the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl XXIV victory against the Tennessee Titans.
"It's awesome! We have a lot of kids from this area that haven't had the opportunity to play in an NFL stadium. It's a once in a lifetime dream come true," Jones said.
Tickets for the Sept. 14 game will be available beginning Friday, June 7. General admission tickets are $27, group tickets of 15 or more are $23, and student tickets are $18. Parking for the game is $20 per car.
This is the 13th consecutive year Arrowhead will host at least one NCAA football game in the Fall.
