KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fans got their first chance at single game tickets for the upcoming Kansas City Royals season.
Tickets for the 2014 season went on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Fans went to all lengths to get their tickets from calling to going online, to standing in line at the Kauffman Stadium box office all for the chance to see at least one of the Royals’ more than 80 home games.
Tickets for Opening Day, April 4, sold out within a half an hour, according to Toby Cook, spokesman for the team.
Cook says there are still plenty of tickets left. And while they can’t release actual numbers, Cook says Saturday was the team’s best first day of sales since 2011.
