KANSAS CITY, Mo. - If you listen to Royals’ podcasts on iTunes, you might want to check if it’s still available.
Tuesday night, the music giant took down several podcasts. Major League Baseball representatives said they wanted Apple to remove trademarked images or titles from certain podcasts, not the podcasts themselves.
One local podcast, “Kansas City Baseball Vault” was among those removed.
“You would think they would give some sort of ability to correct anything they though was infringing on any trademark or anything of that nature,” Jeff Herr said, part of the Kansas City Baseball Vault podcast.
MLB insists it never asked Apple to take the podcasts down. iTunes has yet to put Herr’s podcast back up on their site, but fans can still find it online.
