KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Some kids in Kansas City got the chance to eat breakfast with their favorite Royals players.
Billy Butler and several of his teammates met with kids at O’Hara High School to sign autographs and play a little ball.
It was Butler's way of thanking contributors to his "Hit-It-A-Ton" and "Billy's Doubles Club for Kids" programs.
The campaigns provide food to feed Kansas City families in need.
“It's all about giving back and it the right thing to do and try to set an example for all the young guys and try to be a role model for the young kids,” Butler said.
This was the sixth year for the programs.
