The Kansas City Royals will hold a special tribute to Reat Underwood at the June 7 home game against the New York Yankees.
Reat and his grandfather, William Corporon, were killed during a shooting at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park, Kan., in April.
He was at the center to audition for a Kansas City singing competition.
Friends of the Blue Valley High School Freshman started a Facebook campaign to get a video of Reat singing the National Anthem played at a Royals game.
A spokesman tells 41 Action News when the team heard about the idea; they contacted Reat’s family to work out a date.
