Trying to score tickets to Opening Day at the K? Your options are dwindling (and getting expensive)

Some tickets may be released Friday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Your chances of scoring a ticket to Opening Day at Kauffman Stadium are dwindling. The team said tickets are "effectively sold out."

We checked Royals.com, and you can still find a single ticket to Friday's game against the White Sox for around $230. However, you won't find two or more seats together.

You could make it a long-term commitment. Anyone who buys season tickets this week will get them as part of the deal.

If they don’t snag all of them, the remaining tickets will be released a few hours before the game.

Of course, you could always go through a third-party website like StubHub.com. As of noon Monday, more than 900 tickets were still available. The cheapest were for standing room only, starting at $71.58.

Several tickets are still available for the Saturday and Sunday games.
