COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia police arrested University of Missouri basketball player Zach Price twice Thursday.
Officers arrested Zach Price, 20, just before 1:30 a.m., for allegedly assaulting a female and his male roommate. At that time Price faced third degree assault and third-degree domestic assault charges.
Thursday afternoon, police once again arrested Price. He now faces additional charges, including second-degree assault and second-degree domestic assault.
According to a police report, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Price was arrested after allegedly intentionally ramming his vehicle into the victims' vehicle twice-- once early Thursday morning and once again that afternoon. The victims are identified as a 23-year-old male and a 23-year-old female.
After his first arrest, MU suspended Price from the team.
Price transferred to MU from the University of Louisville in June of 2013. NCAA rules forced him to sit out for the entire 2013-2014 season.
This is the latest in a string of criminal incidents involving the MU men’s basketball team. Last month, police arrested two other basketball players and a football player for alleged possession of marijuana. Earlier in March, court documents showed MU senior Tony Criswell owed more than $2,700 in late rent.
