KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Reports coming out of Columbia, Mo., indicate that University of Missouri Men’s Basketball Head Coach Frank Haith has been in serious talks with the University of Tulsa.
A source told ESPN that Haith is in final negotiations with Tulsa to accept the job as the Golden Hurricane head coach. He is expected to arrive in Tulsa late Thursday afternoon and there is speculation he could be named Tulsa's head coach as soon as Friday.
After a rough season, this may be the end for Haith at Mizzou, whose reputation has been marred by NCAA recruiting allegations. The Tigers will also lose three players, Jordan Clarkson, Jabari Brown and Earnest Ross, at the end of the season.
Former Jayhawk and two-time All American Danny Manning was Tulsa's previous head coach. Manning left to take the head coaching job at Wake Forest earlier this month.
