A couple weeks ago, the Power and Light District was a sea of red for Iowa State fans, but Thursday, it'll be a hue of blue as the University of Kansas takes the court.

"They are going to go on to the championship and win it," said KU fan Michael Guerrero, 12.

He and his brother, Will, 9, shopped for new KU swag to wear to Wednesday's practice session. Their advice for the team:

"Defense, we need to get a lot better in so they can beat UCLA or UNC," said Michael.

While Rally House's newest store at 14th and Grand moved all of the KU apparel to the front of the store, it also rolled out Michigan and Purdue gear in preparation for Thursday.

"Our customers that have been coming in have wanted the Sweet 16 shirts and KU merchandise," said Megan Thomas, the Power and Light Rally House store manager. "For this portion of the tournament we have brought in some fixtures for Michigan and Purdue. We want to cater to those fans too, that drive in or fly in and want to support their team, so we will have what they want as well."

And as for the streetcar authority, they're prepping by adding security and traffic control.

"We are expecting high ridership," said Donna Mandelbaum. "We are going to continue with the three-car fleet and our regular hours for Thursday. We run until midnight which we think will be fine given the schedule of the games."

Just remember, they are down one streetcar this time around, so wait times could be slightly longer.
