As NASCAR prepares to rev up this weekend at Daytona, several drivers are making a final push in the Chase for the Cup, including Emporia's Clint Bowyer.
After a second place finish in last week's road course at Sonoma, Bowyer is hopeful that his Stewart-Hass team will have the number 14 Ford Fusion ready to go for Saturday's Cole Zero 400. You can watch the race on 41 Action News.
"You look back at our performance from last weekend, (at) Bristol we ran second," said Bowyer. "We're getting there."
Bowyer has three top-five finishes this year, but admits it's going to take a win in order for him to have any shot at the playoffs.
"More importantly, it's not a timing thing or anything like that, it's a people thing. I'm in great company with Stewart-Hass racing. My team is set," he said. "We are going to get one of these in the last ten, we have to."
