KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Andy Reid nearly has a full staff in place. The Chiefs new head coach announced two more additions. Andy Heck takes over as the offensive line coach. Kevin O'Dea is now the club's assistant special teams coach.
"We are pleased to announce the addition of two more good football coaches to our staff. With Andy and Kevin we have added two experienced leaders to the group. We are close to having the full staff in place which will allow us the opportunity to all get ready for the 2013 season."
Heck spent the past seven seasons as Jacksonville's offensive line coach. He also spent time on the University of Virginia coaching staff. Heck played tackle in the NFL for 12 seasons. He was a first-round pick of the Seahawks in 1989.
O'Dea comes to Kansas City from the Chicago Bears. He spent two separate stints with the Bears as their assistant special teams coach. O'Dea was the special teams coordinator for the Jets in 2008-09. He also had stops in Arizona, Detroit, Tampa Bay, and San Diego.
